CAMRA South Okanagan Newsletter – July 2017

Hello CAMRA SO Members!

The heat of summer is upon us, and no doubt many of you are finding cold, craft beer a great way to quench your thirst. Not only do we have several partner breweries in our region (Firehall, Bad Tattoo, Cannery Brewing, Highway 97, Tin Whistle and Detonate) but we also have partnered with several cideries in the South Okanagan as well! Read on for more details.

Need a designated driver? Grape Friends Wine Tours and Hoodoo Adventures both offer special tour options for CAMRA SO members. Find all about our Member Benefits here and don’t forget your CAMRA card and growlers when you are out touring and tasting this summer!

We are still collecting competitors for our CAMRA SO Home Brewing Competition atSquare One Hop Growers on September 16! If you are interested in participating, please contact Eike at education|@camraso.ca to register. Members and friends are also invited to come and help judge the event! Wine Crush Market will be there again with their wood-fired oven serving up delicious beer-themed food. We are also working with Grape Friends to provide a shuttle, more details on this will be announced closer to the date.

Along with CAMRA BC and some of the other CAMRA branch websites, we’ve been having some issues with our website. We thank you for your patience as there have been some times when we’ve been down for a few days at a time. CAMRA BC is looking into alternate options for our website hosting, so hopefully this will be resolved shortly.

Have fun this summer whether your find yourself camping, boating, hiking or just looking to beat the heat somewhere cool!

Cheers!
