Home Brewers Competition

We are pleased to announce a very cool CAMRA South Okanagan event coming up on September 17th. It will be a Home Brewers competition and home brewers, we want you to join us. Make your best batch of beer and put it to the test for your fellow home brewers and CAMRA South Okanagan members.

The event will be held on September 17th from 2-6pm at Square One Hop Growers on Davenport Avenue in Penticton on the way to Naramata. We have partnered with Kelowna Beer Supplies and Shawn is offering discounts on all grains, hops and yeast used in event beers. In addition to getting feedback on your beer, the top 3 beers will get bragging rights and prizes from Square One Hop Growers and Kelowna Beer Supplies. There are no style guidelines, so bring your best beer.  All of the attendees at the event will cast their votes for best beer.

The competition is limited to 10 home brewers pouring their beers at the event, so sign-up today to guarantee your spot. CAMRA South Okanagan is hosting this event as a member’s appreciation and bring a friend event, and even if you don’t participate in the competition, we hope you will attend. There is no charge to attend. There will be a food truck onsite from the Wine Crush Market with food available for purchase including something special made with spent grains. You’ll also have a chance to tour the hopyard, see a harvester demo and pick some hops.

Please reserve your spot with Eike today at education@www.camraso.ca. You will need to bring approximately 5 gallons of beer to serve at the event. You can let Eike know at a later date the details on your beer. Please advise if you need power. Eike will be in touch closer to the date to arrange set-up details.
