Come enjoy one of Penticton’s newest restaurants Craft Corner Kitchen and hear from owner Jonathan Cote and Chef Partner James Holmes about their new restaurant. They have a great selection of craft beer as well as BC Wine and cocktails. For the event, they have created a special cask. Come try a pint of the cask and then submit your entry to the “name the cask” contest. The winning name will receive a $25 gift certificate from Craft Corner Kitchen. All CAMRA members will receive 20oz pints for the price of a 16oz and 15% off food at the event and anytime when you show your CAMRA membership card.
Also, enjoy a special beer from Tin Whistle Brewing. It’s a barrel aged keg of Killer Bee. There were only 5 kegs of this made, and Craft Corner Kitchen has one of them and they’ll have it on July 20th. Killer Bee is a 6% dark honey porter, and this batch was aged for over 6 months in oak Pinot Noir red wine barrels. It pours a very deep and dark red with a fluffy white head. The nose is oak and vanilla, cherries and raisins, with a hint of sweetness. The initial taste is toffee, caramel, and vanilla. It is slightly sweet, but there is a background acidity. The finish is grapes and wood and leaves a slight lingering sourness.
