CAMRA SO Spring Update, May 2021

Hello CAMRA SO Members!
Springtime sunshine is bringing good cheer and warmer weather is on the way! Here’s hoping less restrictive Public Health Orders will be announced soon that will allow more than 10 people to gather outdoors. We’ll learn more after the May long weekend and hopefully, we can begin to set some dates for a few smaller outdoor gatherings.

In the meantime, check out some current updates about our local craft beer scene. Also, we’re sharing details about two upcoming CAMRA Victoria Zoom events … enjoy!

It’s official. Penticton City Council has approved the responsible consumption of alcohol project again in designated beaches and parks in Penticton for the 2021 season.

The new bylaw is in effect now through October 15, 2021 from 12-pm to 8 pm in designated zones along Okanagan Beach and in Okanagan Lake Park and Skaha Park. See more from the City link to details.

In addition, the City of Penticton is in the process of adding 36 new picnic tables to these locations, making it easier for people to enjoy beer and food to go in these scenic spots.

Read more details about the 2021 program in the Penticton Western News here.

The City is also launching a cool Picnic-ton program that begins on Monday, May 10th in support of Penticton restaurants, breweries, wineries etc. Get more info here:
