Seasons Greetings, CAMRA South Okanagan Members!
While our communities get into the full swing of the holiday season, over at CAMRA SO we are preparing for our annual Holiday event, the Rare Beer Tasting at Craft Corner Kitchen. Chris, Tim and the team from JAKs at Cherry Lane will be there again serving up samples of rare and unusual beers from their collection. Josh and Craig from Torchlight will be joining us to present two special creations from their brewery as well.
We will be tasting 8 different beers in total, but keep in mind these will be “sample” sized. If you arrive thirsty, Craft Corner is also serving up some great beers on tap that night, including Torchlight’s Noctus (Sour Ale), Tin Whistle’s Extortionist (Hazelnut Espresso Stout) and Cannery Brewing’s Heist (Maple Stout). As always, CAMRA SO members get a 20 oz glass for the price of a 16 oz. Check out Jon’s seasonal cocktail creations as well, he is a real whiz and uses local and fresh ingredients as much as possible! Please be sure to arrange for a safe drive home.Chef Ian has designed some awesome small bite appetizers to pair with the beer. CAMRA SO is paying for these small bite samples for our members. Come hungry, as Chef Ian has also created a wonderful menu of appie-sized dishes available for you to purchase throughout the evening. Scroll down to have a peek! There are lots of fantastic beer-related events and new beer releases happening locally this December, check out social media of your favourite breweries to stay up to date!
Mark the date for Brewski on February 17th. Apex Mountain’s craft beer, cider and spirits festival is a great event. Tickets should be on sale before Christmas, they sell out every year within a couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for the announcement on social media!

Membership across BC is made up of over 1300 individuals. Member activities include beer tastings, brewery tours, seminars & more. CAMRA members are eager to apply their talents and experience to promoting widespread public appreciation of the many “real beers” that have become available in recent years.
